2. This article is incorrect about what Fair Isle means in knitting terms, but a generally lovely recounting of how this small Scottish island became internationally know for this thing.
3. A recent deployment of an Emergency Backup Goalie in hockey, led me to this recounting of some of the stories. It's an odd thing in hockey, especially since I know of no other sport that allows random dude to step in.
